Join The ALS Association CT Chapter for a very special event:
Friday, June 26, 2009 ALS Awareness Night at the New Britain Rock Cats
The ALS Association CT Chapter joins with our network of partner chapters across the country to kick off the "Covering All the Bases" Hitting Challenge, which raises vital funds for ALS, all by rooting for your favorite major league or minor league baseball team.
July 4, 2009 commemorates the 70th Anniversary of Lou Gehrig's now-famous "I am the luckiest man on the face of the earth, " farewell speech. Ball parks across America will honor the Iron Horse of baseball with festivities in his name and in honor of ALS. Click here for more information about the Covering All The Bases Hitting Challenge and how you can participate.
We'll be at Rock Cats Stadium on June 26, 2009 to commemorate the event. Stop by and visit us at the front gate to sign up for the Covering All the Bases Hitting Challenge, to register for the Walk to Defeat ALS, or to make a donation. There will be an on-field reading of Lou Gehrig's famous speech and other ALS awareness activites. And, even better a pyrotechnics show will also be part of the evening's events! For more information click on this link!
Click here to purchase tickets to the game. A portion of each ticket purchased through this link will be donated to the ALS Association CT Chapter. So have all of your friends and family visit this page of our website to get their tickets!

Volunteers play an important role at the ALS Association Connecticut Chapter. This year, WALK registration was a snap and the Victory Ball auction and check-out ran smoothly because of our volunteers. A great big THANK YOU to all who gave their time and talent to our Chapter and the patients and families we serve. For 2009 we would love to bring into the fold more men and women who share our mission of service. Volunteers can help in the office, serve on WALK committees, and/or consider joining our board of directors. If you are interested in feeling needed and much appreciated, please contact Lauren D'Alessandro, Executive Director at 203-874-5050, or email lauren@alsact.org | |
